Cows in Sausalito? | Friday, April 21st, 7pm | Sausalito Public Library

  • April 21, 2017
  • 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • The Sausalito Library

In the late 1800’s, Marin was the Bay Area’s major supplier of dairy products and cows were a common sight on Sausalito streets and grazing on surrounding hillsides. Join Sausalito resident, Mike Moyle, for an exploration of the history, with a focus on the many small dairies that dotted the countryside, most of them operated by Portuguese immigrants. As with recent talks, Mike will accompany this talk with photos to highlight the dramatic changes that have occurred in and around Sausalito. Mike’s presentation will be in conjunction with the April 22nd IDESST Open House the following day.
