PRESENTING RACHEL FARAH SELECTIONS
& QUINTA DO TEDO: PORT + WINE TASTING
To kick off the new year, on Friday, February 7th, 2020, we will have a very special Portuguese Douro Valley Port & Wine Tasting provided by Rachel Farah, owner of Rachel Farah Selections, and Kay Bouchard, owner of Quinta do Tedo (Douro Valley). Wines and ports will be paired with a few simple and select petiscos (appetizers) for the tasting. (Please note that the bar will not be open that evening.)
In this private tasting, Rachel and Kay enlighten us on the wines and ports of the Douro Valley, and the history and contemporary movements making Portugal one of the most exciting wine growing regions on the planet. We will even try one of the newest entrants into the official Port category - the very rare, Port rose!
Rachel Farah Selections is a boutique Portuguese wine and olive oil importer based in the Bay Area. She travels to Portugal to source wine from small independent family farmers making artisanal organic wine and olive oil. Rachel runs an online wine and olive oil boutique and Portuguese wine club with delivery to your door.
Quinta do Tedo, one of Rachel Farah's newest selections, is located in the heart of Portugal's Douro Valley, surrounded by terraced vineyards that climb above the meeting of the Douro and Tedo rivers. It is a family-owned Quinta dating back to the 18th century.
